26th AGROTICA 2016
The largest Agrotica of all time, a record exhibition in every respect, was held from January 28 to 31 by TIF-Helexpo.
With over 1,454 participants, as compared to 1,349 in 2014, marking the largest number in its history, and foreign exhibitors coming from a record 41 countries, the 26th Agrotica once again served as a point of reference for the rural world and the primary sector. This year's Fair covered 34,175 m2 of exhibition space, as compared to 30,929 m2 during the last Agrotica, while the number of foreign exhibitors came to 893, as compared to 817 in 2014.
The qualitative scale of the 26th Agrotica and its recognition as the largest agricultural fair in Southeast Europe and one of the five largest in Europe attracted 123,723 visitors to Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, which was inundated with crowds, particularly over the weekend of the Fair.
It is important for the international appeal of the Fair that the number of foreign trade visitors, who came from 27 countries, was increased by 51% this year (1,554 trade visitors in 2016).
The national exhibition agency also invited hosted buyers from Cyprus, Iraq, Lebanon, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Ukraine, Turkey, Egypt and Serbia, who attended business meetings with Greek exhibitors.
